We do not independently verify the accuracy of information filed by investment advisers with regulatory bodies. Neither the SEC nor state securities authorities have approved the information filed on Form ADV. Data may be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors from the original filings.

Red Flag Score

Our "Red Flag Score" is a proprietary indicator calculated from publicly available data points including disciplinary history, compensation conflicts, custody arrangements, and fee positioning. This score:

  • Is not endorsed, approved, or recognized by the SEC, FINRA, or any regulatory body
  • Should not be the sole basis for any financial decision
  • Does not predict future performance, compliance, or suitability
  • Reflects only disclosed information — undisclosed issues would not be captured

Limitations

  • A clean regulatory record does not guarantee good advice or positive investment outcomes
  • Fee data reflects disclosed fee schedules; actual client fees may differ based on negotiation, account size, or special arrangements
  • Complaint and disciplinary data may not include pending matters, state-level actions not reported to the SEC, or events that have been expunged
  • We cover SEC-registered advisers (generally firms managing $100M+ in assets). State-registered advisers may not appear in our database
  • Rankings reflect data quality and availability, not a recommendation or endorsement
